Material ​

Argonaut uses three concepts to define parts that are consumed or produced on the plant floor.

Material Model A Material Model is the equivalent of a Part Number and represents a definition of that Part.

Material Class A Material Class is a grouping of similar Material Models. Every Material Model must belong to a Material Class.

Material A Material is an instance of a Material Model. It is a physical part that can be consumed or produced. A Material is often serialized and Argonaut will track that specific Material throughout the production process.
